1. Controller and contact details
SpanishPilot is controlled by Svenochelly AB. Company details and contact information are available on the Company Information page.

- Company Information
- Privacy contact

2. Local-first summary
SpanishPilot is designed to keep learning data on your device. There is no account system in SpanishPilot, and routine learning progress is not sent to SpanishPilot servers. We do not sell your data, use advertising networks, set tracking cookies, or include third-party analytics SDKs in the app.
3. What data is handled
SpanishPilot handles the following limited categories of data:
- local learning, settings, exercise-state, and purchase-entitlement data;
- optional device-feature data when you use reminders, widgets, backup import/export, or speech;
- messages you send to us for support, privacy, legal, or billing help;
- limited website delivery and security logs where enabled by hosting providers.
Local app data stays on your device until you delete it, reset app/browser data, uninstall the app, or replace it through backup/import features. Email correspondence is normally kept for up to 24 months after case closure unless a longer period is required for legal, accounting, tax, dispute, or compliance reasons. Website delivery and security logs are normally kept only for short operational periods set by the hosting or security provider, unless they are needed to investigate abuse, security incidents, faults, or legal claims.
Purchase entitlement records stored by SpanishPilot are kept locally until you delete app data, reset browser storage, uninstall the app, or replace local data through backup/import. App marketplaces may keep their own purchase, tax, and account records under their own policies.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process local app data to provide the app, remember your progress and preferences, unlock purchased features, and keep the app reliable. The legal basis is performance of the Terms you accept, and our legitimate interest in providing a stable local-first learning product.
Optional speech, reminders, widgets, backup/import, file sharing, and store-review features are used only when you enable or trigger them. The legal basis is your action, consent where a platform permission prompt requires it, and performance of the requested app feature.
Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time by turning off the feature, revoking the relevant operating-system or browser permission, clearing local app data, or contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened before consent was withdrawn.
Support, privacy, legal, and billing correspondence is processed to respond to your request and keep necessary records. The legal basis is legitimate interest, performance of a requested support service, and legal obligation where records must be retained.
Limited website delivery and security logs are processed to serve the website, prevent abuse, diagnose faults, and protect infrastructure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating secure public websites.
Providing local learning data is needed for the app to remember progress on your device. Optional feature data is not required; if you decline a permission or skip a feature, that feature may not work but the rest of SpanishPilot can still be used where available.
5. On-device storage and cookies
SpanishPilot uses essential local app and browser storage only for app functionality. This storage supports local-first learning functionality, preferences, legal acceptance, and optional feature state.
SpanishPilot does not use non-essential cookies, advertising cookies, client-side analytics cookies, third-party analytics scripts, browser storage identifiers for tracking, or advertising networks.
6. Microphone and speech recognition
Speech features are optional and user-activated. Depending on platform, browser speech-recognition providers, Apple speech recognition services, or your device's Android speech-recognition provider may process microphone audio to transcribe speech.
Svenochelly AB does not store raw microphone audio from these speech-recognition flows in controller-operated systems. Recognized speech text may still be stored locally on your device as part of active exercise state, local mistake history, or dictation/pronunciation feedback.
Browser providers and OS/device speech-recognition providers may act in their own capacity under their own terms and privacy notices.
7. Payments and app-marketplace billing
Pro purchases, where available, are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play in supported mobile app versions. Those billing channels may process purchase and account data under their own terms and privacy notices. Svenochelly AB does not receive your raw card details from those store checkout flows.
SpanishPilot stores only the local entitlement data needed to reflect purchase status.
8. Recipients and international transfers
SpanishPilot uses limited recipient categories for website delivery, operational security, email/support communications, Apple App Store and Google Play billing, browser or operating-system speech recognition, device notifications, and user-selected file/share actions.
- website and app hosting or content-delivery providers for public website and web-app delivery;
- domain, DNS, and security providers for routing, certificates, abuse prevention, and availability;
- email providers for support, privacy, legal, and billing correspondence;
- Apple and Google for app distribution, billing, restore, store review, notifications, and platform services;
- browser, operating-system, or device speech-recognition providers when you use speech features;
- file, share-sheet, or cloud-storage providers you choose when importing, exporting, or sharing files.
We keep the active provider list in our internal compliance records and review it when providers change. Where a processor transfers personal data outside the EU/EEA on our behalf, we use an adequacy decision, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or another GDPR-approved transfer mechanism where required. Browser, operating-system, app-marketplace, speech-recognition, and user-selected file/share providers may also act independently under their own terms and privacy notices and may process data outside the EU/EEA according to their own safeguards. You can contact support@spanishpilot.com to request information about relevant transfer safeguards used for processor transfers on our behalf.
9. Automated decision-making
SpanishPilot uses local scores, placement, streaks, XP, and progress logic to personalize the learning experience on your device. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
10. Your GDPR rights and complaints
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability where applicable. To make a request, email support@spanishpilot.com with the subject Data Rights Request and include the right you want to exercise, an identifier we can use to locate relevant correspondence, any useful context, and your preferred response format. We aim to respond within one month where GDPR requires it, unless the request is complex or GDPR allows an extension.
You may complain to Sweden's supervisory authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY). Depending on where you live, you may also contact your local EU/EEA data-protection authority.
11. Identity verification and lawful exceptions
We may require proportionate identity verification before disclosure, correction, or deletion. Where GDPR permits, we may refuse or limit requests and will provide the legal basis plus complaint-rights information.
12. Age requirements
SpanishPilot is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16 through controller-operated systems. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through support or email contact, please contact support@spanishpilot.com.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when legal, technical, operational, or product conditions change. The updated version applies from the effective date shown on this page. The app may ask you to accept updated legal terms before continuing.
